We are very disappointed in this toaster. We purchased one 5 years ago that finally stopped toasting. It was about a 4 star, producing fairly even toasted bread. This toaster burns the outside of each slice and under toasts the inside of both slices. We set it on 2, which worked for three days of toasting. By the 4th day, that setting was burning the outside and has continued doing so. We still use it since we can't afford to purchase another one right now. We will just look inside and pop the toast out when it appears to be ready. We trusted Cuisinart's name, so the purchase was based on brand trust.

This is my second Cuisinart toaster. Had the first for 25+ years. This one toasts unevenly and feels flimsy. Will be fortunate if it lasts 2 years.

It does exactly what it is supposed to do. I replaced another Cuisinart toaster that was stainless steel. It had also performed well and I was replacing a still working toaster. I though the white would blend in more with my white subway tile backsplash. I think I was wrong but being plastic I can put it in a cabinet more quickly as it cools off faster. It feels inexpensive, but it is inexpensive so since it works well and I anticipate it lasting as long as my last Cuisinart toaster 5 stars.
