Inconsistent Toasting

I have bought, and will continue to buy Cuisinart products, but the two slice toaster i recently purchased is subpar in comparison to my previous toaster which was 10 years old. It doesn't toast evenly on both sides and the settings are inconsistent. Disappointed on this one.

Very disappointed. My previous two toasters were Cuisinart and, for the money, they did a decent job. The older versions lit up when you plugged them in and were much more substantial. This model is poorly made. I have no other description for it. It's not steady or sturdy and the cord is impossible to wrangle. The top has a deep well around the slot openings and crumbs not only find their way in there, but they also actually fall out of the bottom of the toaster. We keep our toaster under the cupboard while not using and the shelf is full of crumbs. The toaster I received had scratches. I'm actually going to the basement to retrieve my old Cuisinart toaster.

Problems with the toaster

We had to return it. After one week, the bagels and toast didn’t pop up anymore. Burnt the bread and set off the smoke alarms. We are waiting to see if this one works.

Please don't waste your money on this CENSORED! It will either burn your toast, or it will not even brown it. The bagel setting does absolutely nothing other than turn on the blue bagel LED. It will be the same as the cuisinart coffee maker that stopped working after 6 months. But at least my little blue LED still works.
