Very inconsistent browning - one side always much darker than the other, whether toasting one slice or two. It burnt bread, waffles and pop tarts equally badly, so I returned it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I was gifted this toaster and it didn’t work. Pressed down the lever and it wouldn’t stay down and the elements wouldn’t heat. Cuisinart sent a replacement that did the same thing. Clearly there is a problem with their toaster but they won’t do anything about it.

I love the very small size of the toaster! Very compact! All the options for defrost, warm, etc. seem redundant. All those choices are doable manually. Love the "cancel" button, though!

This was a housewarming gift from my dad; I've only had it a couple weeks but it seems to reliably toast bread and bagels, although it takes a bit of toggling the dial to find the right level.

After 4 weeks of use by a retired couple it no longer stays down to toast bread. Your brand had always been number 1 with us. Thinking this toaster is not the norm for Cuisinart. How do we return it?
