There's no interactive video screen, AI chat bot toast color agent to help you select the perfect raising bread toast hue, or interface with Alexa to automatically order more butter. It doesn't have user programmable pulsing LED lights that sync with your SONOS music system. You cannot control it from Home Kit. There is no micro SD card slot or USB-C charging port. There are 4 buttons and a rotary switch to set the desired toast time. Plunge the bread and toast pops up! It's not retro, just simple. It works well at it's simple design intention. Highly recommended.

This toaster is nice to look at and heats very quickly. However, it's a little small. Even an English muffin sits at the very top of the heat and doesn't toast.

After looking up recommendations on NY Times Wirecutter I decided to buy this toaster in white. I love the ability to put in different size breads. It even has a reheat option if the toast is done before the rest of the meal and the cancel button is great should you toast too long.

We had one of these for several years and liked it until it started toasting unevenly, so we placed it. Lo and behold— the brand new one is just as uneven as the old one. Not what I expected from Cuisinart.
