I've had this toaster only a couple of weeks and so can't say whether it will stand the test of time. The last toaster was disappointing because it didn't last more than about 3 years. So far this toaster does a good job on English muffins and (large) slices of bread--fresh or frozen. I particularly like the easy-access controls--easy to see, easy to handle. Easy to clean too. And it doesn't take up much space.

Not impressed with my latest cuisinart aquisition. Its very cheaply made, doesnt like to latch down to toast. Doesnt do bagels well. Thank goodness I love my other cuisinart appliances or this would be my last
