This toaster only has heating elements on one side. Guess that's OK if you only want one side toasted. It also had trouble popping all the way up with bagels. Guess they were too heavy.

Don’t let the price of this toaster deter you... it toasts evenly on both sides and does so reasonably quick. A well made and well designed 2 slice toaster.

The reason I bought a new toaster is that the old one would toast more on the inside of the toast. I thought a new one would toast evenly. It doesn't.
