This toaster is a cheap piece of junk. It only toasts on one side no matter what setting. Oftentimes when the toaster is plugged in and I try to put the toast down using the lever, the lever just pop up again.

This Cuisinart CPT-122 (White) is a great toaster. It does exactly what it is expected to do - make good toast. I like the extra lift function that the lever provides to retrieve short pieces of toast. Great value to me - I can recommend it.

I bought another toaster that was metal. When I got it and made the first toast it was hot on the side and hotter at the top. I sent it back. I did not realize that my prior toaster was plastic and very nice to use, and so I started to shop plastic body toasters. This toaster is cool to the touch after making six pieces of toast, looks great, and is well made. I highly recommend it.

We had a older brand that lasted 10 plus years. We really like this one. All the various setting and adjustment on how dark to light toast. Wife likes it for her bagels. My waffles come out perfect.

Unless I preheat the toaster it only browns one side of the toast. So I preheat the toaster then I put my bread in to toast.

Looks great, awesome features, uneven sides

So far the toaster has only been used twice. Both times two slices of whole wheat bread were toasted. The first time I set it at 3 and one side of both slices was perfectly light the way I like it. However the other side was almost twice as dark. The second time I used the #2 setting and again one side was slightly darker than the other. This time, the darker side was more like the way I like it but the other side was barely toasted at all. I am hoping that it is just too new and will settle out over time.
