Only toasts one side. I toast first side on level 2, then turn and toast other side on level 1. Have to stand there and watch it the entire time because even at level 1 and 2, it will burn the toast. And, I have to wait for the toaster to completely cool down before making more toast or it will quickly burn the next pieces. Total waste of my money and my time.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We are enjoying our Cuisinart toaster. It always produces good results no matter what we are toasting. We've tried other brands but always come back to Cuisinart because it is superior.

First, what I admire about this toaster: looks very good sitting on my counter. The feature button labels are easy to read and all work well. I have toasted bagels, regular bread, defrosted such and reheated. The only reason I did not give a five-star rating is the fact the bread does not toast evenly on both sides. The inner side is darker than the outer; however, this is just a minor inconvenience. The price was very reasonable.

I only tried the toaster option , didn’t try the bagel or defrost option but I’m very happy with it, it cools down very fast also which is a good thing if you prefer to put it inside a cabinet.
