First time in 20 years I've owned a pop up toaster but I love it! I was tired of waiting for my toaster oven to toast my English muffins and bread - my new toaster does the job in half the time. So glad I decided it was time for a change and bought the pop up toaster and won't go back to the oven!

The heating elements are not uniformly turned red hot to toast the slice of bread evenly. The failure is in one of the two slots of the toaster and visible when the toaster is turned on without loads.

We bought this Cuisinart two slice toaster based on the name. However, it is a total disappointment. Many mornings, it takes at least 15 or 20 times to get the toast to lock down and begin toasting. Don’t know what is wrong, but when you buy a toaster based on the name, even though the price is a little bit more, and it doesn’t work very well it’s frustrating. So, I hate to write this review like this, but it is the truth.

I purchased your 2 slice toaster a week ago and returned it to Kohls the next day as only one side toasted the bread. They were kind enough to let me get another one and took care of the process of returning the one and purchasing the other one at no cost. Well I returned home and tested the second toaster and it again only partially toasts the bread again on the left side. It's the left side on both toasters. They are on sale and a good price but poor quality. Don't want to chance taking this one back and trying a third one. Just keeping the second one and dealing with it. Sorry, but it is what it is. I would not recommend this toaster.

I am very happy with my Cuisinart toaster. I reviewed many brands and features on new toasters before purchasing. My new wide slot toaster seems very basic in comparison to other models but it does exactly what I wanted it for. I wanted to toast bagels and it toast them perfectly! Yum.
