My only issue with this toaster is the toasting isnt consistent!! 1st 2 slices on setting 6 -med brown..the next 2 slices on same setting-light brown

I recieved this toaster as a gift. The first time I used it, the bread burned on one side only and the back elements the bread more than the front elements. I adjusted the setting and the same thing happened again, only less. Each time I use this toaster the bread burns on one side. I've even put the setting down to 2 and the bread still burns. I would not buy this toaster.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

When we purchased our new toaster I wanted one that not only toasted the bread perfectly each time, but also looked nice enough to keep on the counter all the time. This one checked all the boxes for me.

Compared to the old cuisinart toaster, this one is flimsy, and feels cheap. The slots are narrow and despite the description, poorly designed for bagels. I wish I had my old toaster.

This toaster has some positive attributes. It is compact, attractive and stays cool to the touch. The lever that lets you elevate something small is a handy feature.
It gets only three stars because it does not toast bread evenly. Even at the highest setting one side of a slice of bread is toasted just right but the other is hardly toasted at all.
