Not what I really wanted. You did not tell me that it would not take thawed bread after being frozen! I lost a couple of slices of bread until I found a setting that would work without burning it so I could not even eat it! I would still like a toaster that will take THAWED bread. The reason I buy more than one loaf at a time is that it is very difficult for me to do my grocery shopping.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This toaster is about what I expected for the price. It works but bread usually needs to be toasted twice and watched carefully. The center coils don’t heat as quickly as the outer coils so the edges of the bread get overly toasted and the center doesn’t get toasty enough. A little disappointing but not bad enough to return it.

Ok, but not what I expect from Cuisinart. If you pick reheat, then put it on reheat again, it wont stay down? Guess it needs to cool off. The low setting isn’t low enough so I have to baby sit it. Bottom line it wasn’t expensive, so speaks to ypu get what you pay for

Good price. Favorable rating by Consumer Reports. Wider loaf bread slices have trouble fitting into the slot. I usually toast only one slice at a time--the 2 sides of the slice do not toast the same amount.

Glad I decided to get a toaster instead of using my oven. I can defrost my bread first and then toast it. I really like the small footprint, clean lines, and shiny exterior.

Toasts unevenly, but decent value for the money

I got this toaster because the review sites I read had mentioned it's not worth spending much money on a toaster because they are simply not built to last these days. It looks nice and does a decent job of toasting. I like that the presser can be lifted to more easily retrieve smaller items. However, I have noticed it does not toast items evenly; for example, bagels will be darker on one end than the other.
