What a disappointment! I bought this toaster to replace. my older Cuisinart two-slice toaster, which has been toasting unevenly for a while now. This toaster, out of the box, feels much more flimsy and cheap. Not only that, the one I received was defective; the toast wouldn't stay down to toast. Back it went.

I'm not happy at all, as only one side of the slice of bread toasts ; the other does not get as brown. Needless to say I have to put the bread down again. It's also hard to push down the lever. I will be taking it back 1 hr. 15 min. from my home as soon as I am able before the 90 days is up even though I got the extended warranty. I want to take back to the store.

The toaster burns the lower portion of the bread while leaving the upper part under-toasted. The only way to toast evenly is to do two cycles, turning the bread upside down after the first one.

I hesitated writing this as I have a 20 year Cuiniart blender. Works great. Admit I didn’t check the reviews but found out it did have a concern. One slice cannot be pushed once to engage toasting. Most mornings , 6-7 times then it works great. I did try a bagel split using both sides took 3 times to engage. Not sure of this but found in reviews as well. I’m not happy with this purchase.

The toaster does not toast evenly on each side of bread. Both slots are equally deficient. It's not bad enough to return the product. I was, however, surprised as this is such a good name brand. The toaster itself is a nice looking product on the kitchen counter.

Toaster cord is way too short. Made very cheaply. Toadts only one side at a time.
