This air purifier does the job as no other I have previously used. I highly recommend it to anyone who needs to scrub air particles from a room and maintain quality air flow.

We have our unit for more than 5 years,......my wife is an asthmatic, we have 2 cats and breathing has never been this easy!!.

Best ever

I have had two of these filters for many years. One of them started making noise, I called customer service & everything was handled so professionally that I have no complaints. They fixed my very old machine & sent it back with new filters and even a new power cord. I would recommend this unit and this company with no hesitation

The Best!

I've had a Blueair unit for close to 17 years now, and it's the best. I originally got it shortly after adopting a cat, and discovering that I was starting to be affected by the dander. I still have the cat. Blueair's customer service is excellent, considering they happily replaced my unit when after many years it died. That kind of customer service guarantees that I will be a life long Blueair customer!

I purchased 2 of the 503 units out of fear that such a no-frills basic unit would eventually be discontinued in a world of home products obsessed with bluetooth and WiFi connection. The 503 is basically a box , a speed switch, a fan, and 3 filters. I suspect you're really paying for a well thought-out system of home filtration more than the 503 product itself. The 503 and it's substantial filters are well made and filter change couldn't be simpler. And the 503 is quiet! Even on the highest fan speed, it is more quiet that my older honeywell HEPA units on low! All the Blueair units looked interesting, however functioning quietly is very important and the 500 and 600 series move the most air so they should move more air on the HEPA quiet low fan speed than other Blueair models set to low. Importantly, the Ionic emitters confine the charged (dust) particles completely inside the box between the intake fan and the HEPA filters. This means no charged particles escape, which would cause some of those charged particles of dust (etc) to cling to windows and furniture.
With two 503's running, we have stopped our sneezing and coughing, collect far far less dust on furniture and floors, and have noticed even the furnace filter ( I use a 30 day change out) appears almost clean. I have the SmokeStop filters installed in the living room unit and notice how cooking smells disappear quickly after dinner and a neighbor commented how fresh the house smells. We have a dog, and perhaps pet smells existed but we were accustomed to it. The 503 in the loft has only the particle filters. We can now stop calling that area the "dust bin."
So, the 500 and 600 units move lots of air quietly and confine the ionizer charged particles to inside the unit. A simple knob with OFF and 4 speed settings is all the control I need. The 503 has no vexing WiFi or Bluetooth issues - really nothing to go wrong and as simple an operation as you can get. A value bargain!

Ive had the 503 for about a year. Im not convince that it works. I returned it and received another however still the same. Only moves the air on high which is loud. Air doesnt seem any fresher. For the price and size of the unit i expected more. Now out of alot money. No good. Do not buy the 503 as you see them all suscounted. You will be disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I purchased this air filtration unit about a month ago and it has improved our quality of sleep by removing the dust and pollen and dander from the air

My cleaan air.

I bought two Blueair filters because of my cat. He has allergies and is on medications to limit his misery.
Both the machines are upstairs where I have carpeting and I am happy knowing that I am doing all I can to keep the air clean for him.
It also helps when people visit me who have allergies. They are very efficient machines with very little upkeep.
