Bought it to replace our aging Blueair 501 model, unfortunately it's a bit loud, even on the lowest setting, which is an issue because it's in the bedroom.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Clean air at home

I've had my BlueAir units (2 of them) for 5 years now.  And it's made such a difference to the air we breathe in our home.  It's a little hard to describe, but you can tell the difference when you take a breath in.  And there's something clean about the air.  
There was one time when we turned off the units because we were going out of town for a significant amount of time.  When we returned, the stuffy/heaviness in the air was very apparent. The usual clean, crisp feeling and "scent" in the air was gone.  When I took a breath in, the air felt heavier.
Thankfully, after turning the units back on, it didn't take long to breathe a sigh of relief. And you can actually inhale the cleanliness in the hallway leading to our front door!  There's a difference between our end of the building, and the other!
I would recommend this to a friend!

We have a 501 over 10 years old, a 215 and 2- 115s. I am asthmatic and have bad allergies. These have been a tremendous help. Just change the filters like they say
I would recommend this to a friend!

Purchased two of these units to help keep pollutants out of the air for family member's health reasons. Noticeably cleaner air after installation. These units are quiet. Order replacement filters online or by phone, and they are received quickly.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I own 3 different Blueair room purifiers. I use them in all my bedrooms and living areas. What a huge difference they made for good sleep.
