My 2nd blueair

I had 270e slim back in my country so I knew how great they were. 203 slim is same size but less function, which is simple and cost effective. I use it in my room during the winter when windows are mostly closed and summer when wildfire occurs. I usually put it on silent mode when going to bed and it it enough to clean the air in a sleeping room in 5 minutes.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I haven't had my air purifier very long so I don't know how much good it's doing yet. It is exceptionally quiet, which is nice for sleeping at night. My only complaint is the little blue light on the front of the unit when it's turned on. It gave off so much light in the dark bedroom, I had to put several layers of tape over it to keep it from waking me up. The light also shines out of the back of the unit where there are gaps, so I put some tape over where it's brightest, so it's now bearable. I would suggest you either install a much dimmer light on your units or have the light turn off after a few seconds like some other brand air purifiers do.

Fan problem

I bought 2 years ago a Blueair 203 for my kids room and I was happy. So quiet and efficient.
After so many years I bought a new one for room. But I have noticed that the fan makes a strange noise vibration around 30-40 Hz like a cheap fan. We can not use it during quiet times. I think, after the initial success, Blueair opted for low quality components.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Quiet and efficient

Have 2, one in living room and one in cats room... Work great! A visitor wondered what happened to my cats! My allergies also seem to be in better control as well.
While on high, you can hear them, I wouldn't call them lots of disturbing, more white noise. On lower settings you can't even tell they are on.

Beautifully crafted. Heavy enough to be substantial, but light enough not to be “tippy”. Clearly designed to go the distance and not be another disposable thing. Very quiet and very effective. Totally happy.

Quiet way to clean the air and keep the dust down

We love our Blueair units. The 203 slim is the 3rd unit we have purchased. We also have a 270 and a 650 that we still use. The dust levels stay way down, it's very clean when you look at how little gets stuck on our ceiling fans and on the black furniture. The units really work well. We purchased this 3rd unit after the Thomas fire started and made the air HORRIBLE in our area for weeks.
My inlaws had to evacuate due to the fires and they stayed with us. We had 2 units already and they noticed the difference. Needless to say before they were allowed back home they had purchased a unit for their home as well.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great except the occasional high pitch sound

The only problem I have with it is that it makes a high pitch sound occasionally. Whenever it happens, I turn it off and wait for hours and turn into on again. Besides that everything else works fine. (From what I learnt, other brand of air purifier makes high pitch sound to so I didn't bother switching for a new one)

On medium setting is quieter than on low setting.

It is strange, but, it is quieter on medium setting than on low setting. I hear a weird noise on low setting.
