Great value home office printer

Very easy printer to setup and use. While the install process took a little while, it was basically just point and click and the software did the rest. Overall a simple process, including setting up the wireless.
After using the printer for a few months I am very happy with the quality of the printing and the ink usage. I've printed numerous pages with plenty of colour on them including some photos for my son's show and tell at school and still have plenty of the original ink left.
One of the main reasons I chose this printer was the expected output of printing as well as the low cost of the replacement cartridges (individual black and 3 colours#. My previous printer from a different #a different brand# cost nearly 3 times as much for the ink and pretty much disappeared before my eyes every time I turned the printer on #even without actually printing anything).
The other reason I chose this printer was for wireless as I usually print from my laptop. While it works well, the security for connecting is very poor. My wife printed a document direct from her iPhone without needing to enter a 'connect code' or anything which means if your neighbour wants to be a pain, they could just print to your printer anytime you leave it on. Pretty poor considering it's a fax machine so you may wish to leave it on. This lack of security stops me from giving it a 5 star rating.

To use the printer wirelessly you should have it connected to your wireless network, using the security on your wireless network. The printer supports WEP, WPA and WPA2 wireless security. The method of connecting it directly to another device available on some printer models, WiFi Direct, needs to be initiated physically from the printer control panel.
There is no known way to print to an Epson printer wirelessly without the wireless network password details or physical access to the printer.

With this printer, my grandchildren can now send me their letters and keep me informed on their schooling and activities. I can now print from my laptop when I am out or visiting family in another state.

this printer has the features i was looking for like Wi-Fi set up
and installing it is very easy compared to myn previus printer.
prints nicely and noiseless and can use it with my iPad and childrens computers

I was very happy with the ease at installing this product. This wireless printer/fax/copier/scanner was very straight forward to set up. Test pages were surprisingly clear and crisp, unlike other brands I have used before due to how Epson prime their cartridges. Operation is quite and smooth and I believe to be great value for the retail price.
I liked this unit so much, I bought another for my home office as well.

The ink usage is reasonably low compared to what I am used to. the quality of printed pages is excellent and it is extremely user friendly.
