I like this printer so far. The only reason I have not given an excellent rating is when a cartridge runs out of ink you cannot print. I bought this printer because the box stated that you can print when you run out of one of the cartridges runs out of ink. This was misleading because; yes you can print when a cartridge runs out, but only temporarily. Then it shuts down and tells you can’t print till the cartridge is replaced.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Worst printer I have ever owned

I have always been an Epson fan, but this printer has changed my mind. It goes through ink extremely quickly, and even though it states in the manual that you can use the black ink only for temporary printing, that feature does not work. Further it does not pull the colored ink evenly (it uses colors to print in black as well) so one color is always empty and the printer will not print at all if ink is low.. Screen is not lit, so it is extremely difficult to see where you are when operating the menu. On top of that, printer is less than 1 year old and will no longer connect to wireless. Flimsy and disappointing to say the least.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I purchased the printer in September, back to school sales, and at first was happy with it. we don't use a printer very much at home but on occasion it's nice to have. After about 10 uses it no longer works. It will not fax or scan properly - and it will not print more than maybe every 12th line :o( That seems to be all it will read to fax / scan as well.... so frustrated. I feel like I have thrown money away

Print cartridge jammed up - have replaced print cartridges, cleaned headers and done all maintenance possible. Trouble with scanner too. Have had years of office equipment experience - and this product has made my job and my life more difficult than it has to be. Will never get another Epson product.

After I first got this printer I was pretty happy with it, but after using it for extensive projects, it is a poor quality printer. The ADF tray (Auto Document Feeder) can scan maybe 1 page every 2 minutes. It is ridiculously pain-staking to scan a 20 page document. Furthermore, the scan quality is terrible. I have never gotten a straight scan from this printer, meaning that the edges are not aligned. Same goes for the prints! Every document I print looks like it is rotated 2 degrees to the right... This printer is great at printing saturated and bright colors, but text is always choppy and has lines going through it. I have tried the printers 'Print Alignment', 'Nozzle Cleaning', etc. Every adjustment you can do with the WF 2530 is useless and only serves to waste paper and ink. I'm a college student and graphic designer. I wanted a printer I could make clear scans and prints with and the WF 2530 cannot do either. Don't buy this printer.

Like Epson printers - confused about FAX

1. Yes I do recommend Epson printers.
2. So far new WF2530 makes good copies
3. Do not know how to scan (will look in book for additional info)
4. The Phone/Fax connetion line is too short. Instruction says need a DSL line for Fax to work. Do not know what a DSL lline is.

Disappointed

This is my third Epson all-in-one printer. My past experiences were very good. This one worked fine for four days. Then, it stopped printing. It would scan & copy, but it would not print. It was frustrating , as I tried to resolve the problem. I was force to uninstall it. I have just reinstalled the printer. I hope there will be no more problems any time soon. I never found out what made it stop printing.
I would recommend this to a friend!
