Another bad experience with Epson printer

The LCD screen went out after warranty expired.
It locked up after trying a firm ware update and now it is no longer working while I am still having a whole new set of ink.
Waste of money!
Not worth to keep this more than the warranty period

inferior product

Did not last a year. feeds paper crocked and copies are never straight. auto feeder often jams and is now permanently broken. ink is expensive. would not purchase again

Slower than molasses

Prints well. Doesn't take up much space. Easy paper load that you can see so running out isn't a surprise. Programming is moody and doesn't always make it easy. Sometime it just changes it's own settings (Robot or a ghost?)
Always have a cup of coffee handy while printing or scanning. You'll have plenty of time because this machine is record breaking slow.

Not happy at all with this printer, but like scan

Constantly requires head alignment and cleaning, which is extremely annoying, and uses up ink too fast, likely due to having to run repair tests. But to be honest, I have yet to find a decent printer that's affordable.

No color? Can't print black, either.

This printer has the absolute worst feature I've ever seen on any device. If you run out of a color cartridge, like magenta, you can no longer print in black & white, either. It's not that you lose quality or have to change a setting in the driver software, the printer will blatantly refuse to print text, even if you explicitly set a black and white profile.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Will never buy another Epson printer

Bought the WF-2530 about a year ago. It eats ink and has the slowest scanner in the universe. Print quality is sub-par. It's a piece of junk. Don't buy it.

I received this product for my birthday this past Feb 2014. I ran out of black ink and purchased 2 black refills and a full color set through the Epson website (despite my desire to find it better priced somewhere else). I followed the refill instructions and refilled my black ink cartridge (it was the only one low). Since the stock black ink ran out I have NEVER been able to use my printer again. Whenever I try to print the sheet comes out blank (unless any aspects were color)...aka: NOTHING black prints. Thinking maybe I received a lemon ink cartridge I replaced the NEVER been used cartridge with another new one...and have not had any different results. I know would love nothing more than to through this printer out my window...can't print black ink...what's the point?!
