On My Last Nerve!

Prints when it wants to. Wont stay connected to the internet. Try to update and the silly thing goes into recovery mode. Uses a lot of ink. UGH!!! Worst Epson printer ever!!!

First Epson

I have 3 other printers here that I no longer use due to various issues, mostly extreme ink usage, they all work but I wanted to try this Epson out. So far it has worked very well. I have had a few issues using the fax, the prompts are confusing & the window could use a back light, very hard to see. As far as ink usage, I am still using what came with it, although I don't print a lot I would have had to change any of the others by now. Print quality has been excellent, speed is ok. All in all, good buy!

The WiFi is ineffective

The WiFi only remains active for a few minutes after the printer is turned on and then turns off and doesn't respond to the computer when sent the signal to print. The printer is in a different room from where I am usually working and therefore whenever I want to print I have to go downstairs and into another room, turn off the printer and turn it on again and then send the signal to print. And at times the print quality is poor, for no explicable reason.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Pleasantly surprised

Bought this machine for one reason--its ADF feature, which was a must-have for a particular project I was working on. I already had a printer which did OK handling my other needs. And being a bit tech-challenged, I was somewhat anxious about whether I'd even be able to utilize that one ADF feature on a new and different printer. The cost was so low, though, it wasn't like I was taking a huge risk. It arrived. I set it up. And it does so much beyond ADF, and even I got many of those things quickly figured out. I continue to learn more tricks it can do. And I continue to be pleasantly surprised.

Printer Trouble Shooting

I couldn't figure out how to clean the head. I emailed for help. I was sent step by step instructions on how to clean the head. It worked great. My machine works wonderfully!!!!

Drivers not compatible with OS X Mavericks

While this printer does work on OS X, there are no settings available when printing from any software that allows you to control the print quality and other essential options that nearly every printer offers. Wastes ink and prints using color cartridges even when Black is the only color. Screenshots and instructions on the website do not match the actual experience when using OS X.

Epson WorkForce WF-2530 All-in-One Printer

I am very happy with this printer. The size is perfect for my limited work space. It was a very easy install. I have no problem loading the paper and being able to see that it goes in straight. The information window is easy to see and understand. I am happy with the performance and the clear and sharp look I get for my pictures.
