Where have you been all my life?

After throwing out a brand new C....n printer, I was at my wits end as to where to find a printer that would be easy to install, fax, etc.
I am computer illiterate on alot of things but after talking to the epson representataive, I let him chose the machine I needed at a price I could afford. BRAVO Epson to your representatives.
Received my machine in 3 days. Opened the box and was surprised how light weight it was and was already beginning to wonder but my fears completed vanished within 5 minutes ( my computer runs slow as over 7 years old). My printer was up and copying a test page, my fax had been set up from my computer and working properly. I haven't tried the WiFi and am using USB directly to computer (what I am used to) but I am sure for those who know how to install WiFi - it would be a cinch.
I have found my long lost companion - EPSON and after going through several of their competitors brands the only thing I can say is:

As for the printer itself, It's good with no problems. However, the ink runs out entirely to fast. I printed and or scanned less than 200 copies before the black ink ran out.
So, even though I got a fabulous deal on the printer itself I've realized I'm paying out the butt for ink!

I had a problem setting up the wireless, but your tech was very helpful. Also did not realize thst the scan had to be set up as well. I messed that up, but again your tech was very helpful

This was easiest installation I ever performed. Simple easy to follow instructions. After the
installation was completed printer worked perfectly the first time over a wireless network !

Good Product

This is a good product but I find it a bit hard to work it. I would appreciate someone explaining how to print, fax, and receive faxes on this all-in-one printer.

USES A LOT OF INK

This printer uses a HUGE amount of ink. I print mostly black and white however because "some" color is used even when printing black and white Epson thinks I do not use much. I installed cyan and magenta on 9-4-2014. On 10-6-2014, I began receiving low ink levels on these inks. With prior printers our ink lasted 6 months!
This printer also often pulls the paper in at a angle so you have to reprint about a third of your print jobs
Customer service is very nice but they do not understand English very well..
We will not buy another Epson product.

product works great but has flaws

I bought my printer less than a month and a half ago and I loved it it was a very good printer until it gets a paper jam last week and after filling the instructional screen on the printer and instruction book I removed the jam and the printer will not reset clear or do anything but continue to tell me there is a paper jam and there is no jam other than that it worked out great for a month was hoping for a durable more reliable printer but didn't end up with one .
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
