LET THERE BE LIGHT (& NUMBERS)

It's way too early in the game to review anything but the setup process and my initial feel for the unit's apprarance and feel. Here goes.
I made it through unpacking, set up and registration in about an hour and 15 minutes. A NUM LOCK switch and a backlit LCD screen would surely have cut that in half.

Why oh why would you not back lilght the instruction panel? Trying to read the setup instructions on that little LCD screen was murderous; especially so because our unit is mounted at the bottom of the work station/desk.
Our SSID is in part, a numeric value. You failed to provide me with a switch to set those dear little keys to 'numeric ONLY' status. That was really inconsiderate of you.
I hope my follow-up review on the WF2530's performance is glowing enough to make these set up flaws all worth the trouble. We'll see.

trouble from the start

disappointed in the device, and will be returning it. from the beginning there were issues with the download of software components. the mechanism for updates malfunctions and ceases to work. paperfeed will only allow one piece of paper at a time, without the paper feeding in at an increasingly difficult angle, that ultimately results in a jam. don't buy this printer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love the idea of the 3-in-1 printer, but I have had too many problems with this printer. If I do not use it for the weekend, the ink on the heads supposedly dry up and I have to "clean the heads" 3-5 times. This did not correct on my first printer so Epson sent me a new one. Now, the new one does the same thing. If you do not print on it every day the ink dries up on the heads and will not print. I should not have to do this every few times I use a printer. Not reliable.

Epson WF-2530 Good Printer for the Money

General printing and ADF does print a little slow, but print quality is good. I do a lot of brochure, flyer and postcard printing and this printer does a good job. Replacing ink cartridges is, like all inkjets today, a little time consuming. I long for the old days when you could just pop a cartridge in and start printing!

I simply love the all-in-one printer. It was very easy to setup. I even added two laptops and had them printing in minutes. I've given it a workout (printed from email, facebook, word, excel and publisher). The pictures turned out better than expected.The paper feed works easily and so does the document feeder. The scanner is very easy to use. Overall I'm really impressed and would urge anyone needing a printer to get this one. You get professional results without even trying.

This printer has great features, I would recommend buying this printer for your home office, everything that I can do at the office I can do it home now. Makes my work allot easier. And the ink isn't expensive and last.

This printer prints SO slow I cannot stand it. It basically does nothing that I want it to. I miss my older model. It was replaced with this junk!

Its a pretty good printer it prints well. Its prints photos very well. It is a nice little machine not bad for the price. Down side is that it is a pain to change ink cartridges you have to tell the printer that you are changing the cartridges through the computer. You cant just lift the top of the printer up and install the cartridges. Also the screen keeps saying fax auto answer is on press ok to confirm. That comes up every time you go to use it. Have to confirm it before you can use the printer. Its a bit aggravating
