One of the easiest devices that I've had to install. I haven't used it yet, but eager to do so.

Weird Software

The printer itself works nicely. The print menu is somewhat opaque and seems to make a lot of its own decisions. But the Print Preview screen is the worst! It hardly shows anything, next to useless. I am going to play around some more and see if I am missing a step.

I purchased the epson workforce wf2530 and have not used the copy mode but tried the fax system and encountered a number of paper jams. Finally I held down the carriage with my hand until the fax finished scanning and sending the message. I am concerned about this performance feature and May have to return the machine to insure reliability because the document I was faxing was a legal purchase agreement, and the machine delayed my attempts at sending . Any suggestions? Tom

This machine functions well for its price range but that was to be expected. my disappointment is the LCD screen that displays what function is being used does not have a back light, so you have to get real close to see. also when sending a fax a printed copy to tell me it was sent would be nice.

Noisy paper delivery and gobbles up ink. The drafts are too light. Finished prints are a good quality and it was an easy set-up.

DETRACTION

THE WF-2530 IS SUPPOSED TO BE BETTER THAN THE WORK FORCE 632 (WHICH I HAD), BUT I FIND THAT IT TAKES A LONG TIME TO CYCLE UP, AND IT IS SLOWER TO PRINT AND SLOWER TO CHARGE THE INK CARTRIDGES. IT ALSO SPITS OUT MULTIPLE PAPER. AND MOST TROUBLING IS THAT IT PRINTS HALF OF THE DOCUMENT WHEN THE PRINTER RUNS OUT OF INK. IT'S A WASTE OF PAPER (ESPECIALLY PHOTO PAPER) AND INK!!!!
HOWEVER, ITS PRINT QUALITY IS VERY GOOD!

The only negatives I have for this printer is that it is a little slow and I find that you need to sometimes guide the printer when you are scanning through the feeder.

Less than perfect, but good enough

Yes, there are wrinkles.
It would be nice to have duplex, but that costs.
My main grief is the set-up works well. Resetting is somewhat more problematic.
Wi-fi works, but seems temperamental.
That apart, we are getting on quite nicely, thank you! At high quality settings the output is more than just adequate. At "boilerplate" level, no complaints whatsoever.
