We are very happy with this purchase. This is my first Epson, and I must say "it is more than I expected." It is easy to use which is very important.

I love my new printer. Easy to install, set up wireless to all my devices, laptop-ipad-cell phone.
Plus the ink cartridges are half the price of my last printer. And I got it at a great price.

Workforce 2530

I don't like this printer as well as my old Workforce 610. My 610 is still printing for the neighbor I gave it to. My new 2530 takes longer to print and it makes a high-pitch sound after printing each page. The sound hurts my ears.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very easy to install. WF-2530 is just as easy to use. You do not have to be a technical executive to get the WF-2530 up and running. The printer is wonderful. The scan is great. Sharp copies. The fax work great. The ink is a little expensive.

Reason for getting this product and what I think

I just purchased this printer because my last printer died and I needed one ASAP and I didn't have a lot of money to spend. I do like everything there is about this printer except that when I go to print I get a box wanting a phone number to send it to via fax. I don't have the fax set up yet as I am confused as to how to set it up at the moment because my internet and phone. tv and such are also using the phone line. Also I have an old fashioned phone where I have to have an additional caller ID box. So still working on that. It took me a while to find that you can print from the preview button in the fax box. That is my only complaint about this product so far.

Use of Non-Epson Printer Cartridges with WF-2530

I purchased a new WF-2530 printer because I got an error message yesterday on my old WF-2530 (the ADF light was also turned on) that I could not fix (could find no paper jam, etc.) My printer had been working prior to updating my Epson software/firmware, but I assumed that was not the problem. I threw my old printer away after I forced out the non-Epson printer cartridges that I had installed two weeks ago. When I went through the new printer installation, I decided to install the non-Epson printer cartridges that were almost new. I got the SAME ERROR MESSAGE that I got with my old printer and could not use my new printer. I was able to remove the non-Epson printer cartridges one at a time while the printer cartridge box was moving by powering the printer off and on. When I installed the "EPSON" printer cartridges, my printer worked. It appears that new EPSON printer firmware "PREVENTS" non-Epson printer cartridges from working, instead of just giving a warning and allowing the non-Epson printer cartridges to be used.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The WF-2530 is a perfect match to my needs.
I chose Epson, for the third time because of their quality, convenience and customer support.
The installation is a breeze.
The print quality is excellent, both in color and black and white.
I chose this model because I also have had no problems with either of the others - that's right, I have 2. I had to replace my NX515, so, because I just love the WF2530 I have at another location, I chose the WF2530 again. The Scan and FAX, especially, are features I rely on heavily, and have no problems with either printer.
