Horrible printer
on August 12, 2015

I have never felt compelled to write a review of a product before. This printer is so not worth a single penny I paid for it. It does not work consistently. I have to clean the heads constantly. I just changed a color cartridge yesterday and have had to clean the heads 8 times in order to get it to print in black ink. Now the color cartridge I changed yesterday is indicating it is low! I will never purchase an Epson again.

No backlight on LCD display

There is no backlight on the LCD display, therefore, you cannot read anything on the display without using a flashlight. This is the first printer I have seen where the LCD display does not light up. You have to strain to see what is on the display and if you do not have a light of some kind, you cannot read anything on the display. Other than that, it is a nice printer. I am taking it back for refund due to not being able to read the display on the LCD screen.

I love the printer BUT it uses ink like everything. The ink is cheaper in cost than my old printer, but I spend more because it DRINKS ink !

Extremely frustrating

Perhaps the most frustrating piece of equipment I have ever owned. When it actually prints, the quality is fine. But the thimble-sized ink cartridges keep running out and there are four of them so you're bound not to have "magenta" on hand when you need it. I'm mainly printing b&w Word documents but for some reason being low on yellow or cyan or magenta is a big problem. There's some kind of multi-step process to "temporarily" allow the printer to do only black but good luck following those steps.
But the real problem is trying to figure out how to replace the cartridges. They hide under a plastic shed and unless you precisely follow a complex series of button-pushing on the incomprehensible dashboard, get ready for a long game of hide and seek as the cartridges dodge your hand and the printer beeps at you. In fact, the printer always seems to be scolding you one way or another for doing something wrong. (If you're going to change ink every five minutes, why is there no "Replace Ink" button on the dashboard? And why are the cartridges tucked under that hard plastic shed in the first place?) Steve Jobs would have had a field day with the Epson design department.
This machine seems to have been designed for the convenience of the designers.

The Epson all in one is a great printer. It is very easy to operate and prints fast. Setting up was a breeze. Had no problems. The only thing I wish it had was a light up on the face to read the controls that are needed. Have to use a flashlight to read the LCD screen.

WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY I WANT A RUFUND

Do not get this printer, the ink drys up quick. 80% of the time the cleaning functions in the printer do nothing. If you run out off any colors it is impossible to print in black and white. MAKES NO SENSE!!!!!!! I am trying to print a black and white legal document that I need asap. I went to the store to get a new BLACK INK Cartidge, installed it. Now I cannot print my black and white document because the CYAN color is gone. You can try disabled their software and printing grey scale, it will not work

We used this printer all of three times and now it won't print black ink. We've replaced the ink and cleaned the heads. Still nothing. Not very happy
