A good MFP

It does the job well enough. Works from Windows, Mac OS X using CUPS and iOS using Airprint. I gave the print server a static IP from my router to avoid any problems accessing it over wi-fi. Document printing fine, no problems. The photo printing was a bit dim, I really needed to turn up color saturation in my photo software to get results that looked like the original. Otherwise I got washed out dull looking results using premium photo paper. Honestly at this price point I wasn't expecting it to do all things well and that's pretty much what I got. The setup menu is a bit of a pain from the front panel, using the software to set it up definitely works better. Kudos to Epson service, my original unit stopped working and would not power on, they quickly sent a free replacement with shipping paid in both directions.

This is the most economical and the easiest-to-use printer I have ever used. The messages it provides the owner walk you through every situation. In other words, no problem is unsolved.

Good for the Money

For the price, this is a decent little machine. The menus can be confusing, and you have to go through a series of steps to change a cartridge that are unnecessary on other machines with these features. It also starts warning you to change an ink cartridge way before that cartridge is out - want us to throw perfectly good cartridges away and buy more when we don't need them? Still, it does what I need at a reasonable price.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

JUST THE TICKET

I just received the Epson WorkForce All-in-one-printer. Set up was very easy and all instructions provided. I haven't had a chance to scan or fax yet but the other options are just what I wanted and I have even printed from my IPad while sitting in another room. Wow, wireless rocks.
I like the size of the footprint and the only thing I would ask for is a back light on the screen, I find it hard to read.

This item has performed satisfactorily except in color recognition and with the document feeder.
when highligting documents with microsoft word the printer recognises and prints purple as red which is confusing when your using the red highlighter on other subjects. the document feeder jams everytime I use it therefore I no longer use this feature. the only way to solve the highlighter feature with microsoft word is to choose a color that does not conflict with the way the printer interprets colors from documents on the computer.

I have used Epson printers for years. MY last one worked for over 9 years. I bought this one because it was a great value and I wanted to have a fax machine included. Easy set up. Looking forward to many more years with this one too.
