Excellent design both for new installations and replacement

This purchase was to replacing a 16 year old GE unit due to magnetron life. The new Whirlpool fit the same space, the exhaust vent was almost the same, but the mounting brackets and top mounting screws were much different.The only complaints are:1. The GE unit featured "Press 1 or 2 or 3 for quickly entering the total minutes to run. The Whirlpool has only "Add 30 seconds".2. An appliance of this quality and multiple features should at least have a lighted panel. It is impossible to use this unit without full room lighting.3. The 'grease screens' on the bottom of this unit do fall out easily and do not have a specific position to lock into place.Great features are:Very quiet door latchsmooth turntable actionMuch quieter exhaust fanAuto On exhaust fan if the unit gets too much heat from the cooktopGreat color match to the old GE and our other appliances.

Chosen based on color-need, but good product

This was basically my only choice because I wanted to stay with the bisque color group. However, it has been a good product. The two things that I dislike about it are: the glass tray is very shallow, so if anything steams over onto the glass tray, it also spills onto the floor of the unit. That makes more mess to wipe up. I suppose they thought a flat glass tray would accommodate 9x13" pans well, BUT the downside is that spills are not contained in the glass tray. Also, I REALLY miss a delay start feature. Perhaps I have just not been able to find it, but it is pretty straight-forward, so I think this feature has been omitted. I will look for that in another purchase when this one needs to be replaced. Light over stove is okay, but did like more light from the unit this one replaced.

A Best Buy for the money

We purchased this microwave oven as part of a suite of new major appliances with a kitchen remodeling. The modern and clean look plus matching it to a new gas range has brought many positive comments from the visitors to our home. It has all the features we want plus it's beautiful.

This Microwave is a great combination of design and function. It was one of the key appliances in our kitchen makeover, and we were sold on its clean design and easy to use features.

Door Broke 1 year and 3 weeks after purchase

The heat from the stove below made the plastic in the door brittle and the bottom of the door broke off. I now have tape holding the glass in place because a replacement costs more than the microwave did new. Other than that the microwave is great, I would suggest purchasing this only in stainless.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
