I bought this to replace our 20+ year old countertop unit to free space. The unit was fairly priced. Installation went smoothly with the provided hardware and clear instructions.The performance is dramatically better than the old unit. Popcorn cooks in 90 seconds compared to 3:40 minutes. Water boils surprisingly fast.Exhaust fan works well but is pretty loud on the high setting.Only disappointment is the light. It is located at the rear of the unit and is aimed at the dials of the stove below rather than the cooking area. A wider spread of the light would earn this unit a definate 5 star rating.

I like the straight edge look, it makes the microwave look very clean. I like the fan and the light feature I use it every day. It is a great product and now I know why I buy Whirlpool.

Love the over the range microwave

My husband and I recently moved into a 14 year old home with the original appliances. We purchased all new SS Whirlpool and are pleased with the purchase. The hidden vent works as advertised. (Actually better than any we've owned.)

This is an excellent basic over-the-range microwave and a great deal for the money. We installed it ourselves (replaced existing) and didn't run into any problems. It's not loaded with bells & whistles, but it has all the functions you really need. It works well, is easy to use, and looks good. Overall we're completely satisfied and would definitely recommend this product!

It has all of my favorite features: light above the stove & the add 30 sec button. It's also huge so if you are getting ready to make cookies in a big mixing bowl and need to melt butter, you don't have to do it in another bowl. All in all....what more do you need a microwave?
