I didn't even need a microwave, but buying a hood is just as expensive... AND I find myself frequently using the timer for other things. The microwave itself works fine. But the timer? HA! After ONE BEEP it shuts off. IF you don't hear it the first time, well let's just hope you weren't using the timer for cooking dinner in the oven, 'cause the next thing you know, you'll be smelling overdone dinner.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Awesome microwave

I purchased this microwave several months ago and it's been awesome runs quiet no problems easy to clean. I would highly recommend a whirlpool microwave.

Great microwave

I bought this Whirlpool microwave because my last Whirlpool microwave got a huge crack in the door (my kids were trying to help cook). This one is the latest version of the one I got 6 years ago and loved. So far, other than getting used to the buttons in slightly different places, it's the same wonderful quality.
