nice litte unit, but could be a bit more powerful

It's only got 1000W, so it's a step down from the 1400W unit we used to have. it's got some nice features, but the "instruction" manual (if you could call it that) leaves a lot to be desired. None of the various buttons are described in any detail, and in some cases the only documentation is a little cryptic button description caption on the inside frame of the door -- I guess they thought their controls were self-explanatory, but that would be false. it takes a lot of trial and error pressing buttons in certain quantities and patterns to sort of figure out how it works, and hope it does what the button claims to do.

I bought this to go along with my other whirlpool products. I bought a fridge, washer and dryer 2 years ago had a small issue with the fridge. Next day it was repaired great service. So I figured I would buy this microwave next. Easy to install and love the product.

Very nice fit and finish. Good features. Great price. I do wish they would have places the lights more toward the front of the unit. They would better light the stove area below.

3 great appliances

We bought the dishwasher, convection oven, and microwave. Pleased with many features. Especially like the convection. Baked three cake layers at once and they came out real nice. Never could do that with my old oven; had to bake them one at a time in the center of the oven rack. I still have a little trouble with setting the microwave, especially for defrost. My old one was simpler.

Good value for the features

The over the range micro wave oven that I purchased from Lowes was a direct replacement for the former oven. The design of the vent is very nice. It hides the former unsightly vent louvers and provides an upward flow of air instead of in the face of the user. All of the features on this oven are practically the same as my former oven of which we liked. The nicest surprise was the price of the oven. The price was almost 100.00 less than my original oven of which is unheard of these days. The appliances in my kitchen are all Whirlpool. I have received nothing but excellent service from these items. Over the life of these appliances I have had instances where a part needed replacing and there has never been a problem with getting replacement parts. My hat off to you Whirlpool. You can count on me as a lifelong customer. A big thanks.

I have been shopping for a new microwave for months, and choose to go with the Whirlpool brand because most of the other applicances are Whirlpool and have been great and dependable.
