Fourth Whirlpool Microwave in three houses. Replaced an existing working Whirlpool Microwave and stove with stainless steel models during kitchen remodel. Excellent products.Mike M.

Accomplishes the task

My wife and I do quite a bit of cooking, using the microwave as a simple tool to reheat leftovers primarily. Seeing that we just purchased a home and needed to add a microwave for such limited use, we chose this model for the pricing and name only. As a first-time homeowner, I've never had the pleasure to install an appliance of this size and attempted to do so alone due to my impatience in waiting or paying for help. While I won't recommend to most to attempt the same, I'll say that if you are intermediately skilled in drilling and hanging large items, you can do so with this model. The total time it took for me to carefully follow the instructions and hang the microwave was approximately an hour and a half. Had I'd hung one before, I'm sure I could have chopped that time in half or better.I've yet to read the instructions and have no idea of all the things I can do with this microwave, but am fantastically pleased with the simplicity of operating the unit. All I have to do is punch the amount of time I wish to set the unit for and hit start and it does the rest. That's a much better system for me compared to units that have you push a "cook time" button prior to setting the parameters. That simple feature alone accounts for my satisfaction. I tend to follow the K.I.S.S. rule and that's what this unit does.
