Great microwave

This is a replacement for the original microwave I had that caught fire. It looks great and I really like the features. It heats our food pretty quickly too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My likes the microwave. It's a bit too complicated for me. The purchase was to replace some old clunker as we just bought a house, and I specifically looked at everything and all was at the end of its service life, so appliances, by my okay, were replaced, by Whirlpool products. The reason is because decades ago, we had a washing machine repairman in the family. He always recommended Whirlpools.My wife, the grandchildren, and my kids, enjoy the microwave.The only time that I use any microwave, is when I have to melt down shaving soap into the shaving mug. That has really had some wild results at times. Shave the soap with a knife, fill the mug to where you want it, cover tightly with microwavable clear wrap. Then 20 seconds, on. And remove from the microwave (warning: hot stuff). Put the mug back in, and again 20 seconds, and remove for about a minute, then back in, and do this about five cycles or until the shaving soap melts. If you do it all at once, the soap will boil and make a real mess inside of the microwave.I am retired, but remember years ago, when at work people microwaved eggs and potatoes. I always had an extra measure of caution for these units. My wife uses the microwave kind of regularly, with different things. Coffee, soup, sandwich meats (bread does not come out good).

I love the soften/melt button. I like to make cookies and never take my butter out in advance. This softens it perfectly!
