The keypad or control panel characters are not bold enough, very faint and difficult to see with a lot of light reflection. Feel it should be easier to see without having to turn as much light on.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

this is a great microwave, i threw out my ------ after having it three years, also paid a whole lot more for it. it was so aggravating, all i could use it for was to heat something or defrost!!! i love my whirlpool microwave, and best of all it is made in the USA. thanks

I recently purchased a Whirlpool over the range microwave to replace a nearly 14 year old ailing one. The looks are important to my wife, along with the ease of operation. The installation manual was specific and accurate, and start to finish replacing an older one went as prescribed. No surprises.

We purchased this microwave a few months ago and couldn't be happier. It is easy to keep clean and I love that you don't have to push "cook time" and can just enter the time. We are very happy with our purchase.

Great unit for the price

So far so good! Bought this to clear counter space taken up by an identically-sized counter unit, and while we were worried about the venting capabilities, it's great at both microwaving food and exhausting steam and cooking odors from the stove below it. Great unit for the fair price we paid.
