Decent Over the range with ridiculous stove light

This is an attractive range that has worked well for us going on 3 years now. My main problem is with the light on the underside. this lights does not last more than about 3-4 months and is fairly specialized. There is only one store that I can purchase this from and it is only available in an incandescent variety. Additionally there is no record on the Whirlpool site regarding tis model for literature support. A search of W10572899 yields no results so it is a wild goose chase trying to find the replacement bulb.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the Microwave, but was cussing Whirlpool out installing

This is the third Whirlpool range hood microwave we've owned. They last 10 to 11 years usually. Most of our appliances are Whirlpool. It is super quiet to start with. It heats very evenly. Has many features compared to our other ones. It was very simple to install, however, I have a complaint on the install. When we put the second one in it was a simple remove and replace procedure. This new one was a nightmare. The height on the other 2 was 16.5 inches. This one is 17.5. We have ceramic tile behind our stove and under the microwave. We had to pull the tile off which destroyed the drywall. We cut out the drywall and pieced a repair piece in. We then had to special order 5 tile to replace the ones that cracked removing them. Once the drywall was repaired, it took 20 minutes to mount the new microwave. And 10 days to fix the wall. The salesman said there were no microwaves 16.5 high by any make. Why not keep them universal so we don't have to cuss ?

Gorgeous addition

I love my new Whirlpool Over the Range Microwave! It is my first piece of stainless steel as I transform my kitchen. It is sleek and has a very modern look. The light is brighter and fan quieter than any microwave I've ever owned, and like a new car, the door shuts easily and quietly. The panel is easy to read and having instructions inside when you open the door is a plus. The appliance runs quietly and the food always cooks evenly. I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase and I'm looking forward to replacing the rest of my appliances, and yes, they will be Whirlpool!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Died in 10 years with minimal use

Mine did the exact same thing as the post by "Surplusart." It was new in 2009 when my house was built, and just stopped microwaving last week (Dec 2019). It was not even used the first 3 years because this was a model home with no occupants. Fan and light work fine, turntable turns, no odd odors or noises, it just died. Seems very unreasonable for an appliance that gets light use, spills always cleaned up, no kids putting stupid things in it, in a very clean location. My first microwave bought in late 1970s lasted over 20 years!!! Apparently no longer available? Is there a substitute model of the same size? Cabinets are above and on both sides so cannot change the space.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This product had some issues

I bought this Microwave as I have always had good experience with Whirpool...however, a few months later, the stirofoam strip within the glass at the top of the door started drooping down and now is hanging across the front of the door. Not very pretty to look at daily. I tried to figure out how to take the door apart to fix it but could not figure it out. In addition, the light bulb for the light under the microwave went out in a few months.I went to go change it, thinking it would be easy, but the bulb was stuck and I could not get it out at all. Needless to say, I would not buy this product again

Almost perfect.

This microwave performs just as advertised and is easy to use. I would like to see a better plastic grill at the top of the unit. Maybe it shouldn't be plastic. It is broken already after a very short time in our home. Some improvement there would be nice. However, this does not affect the operation, which is outstanding.
