Over the range Microwave

The one thing that is missing is the turntable button so I could heat a 9 x 13 casserole dish.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very good basic microwave that enabled us to vent it outside. Check the CFM ratings for you to decide on your own acceptable fan speed. We never use the low setting (too weak) and the high setting is basic. Okay for our usage. Note that the night light has 3 settings. Also, know that the carbon filter isn't in the path (by design) if you vent outside. It is used if you vent recirculating. The main filter over the stove will always be used. Also, note that there is no shutoff for the turntable so you need to avoid any oversized items that can't turn. We knew all these things before we bought. For the price, it's fine for this size microwave. We replaced the overhead light with an LED one so we can leave it on as a night light in the kitchen (we avoid the middle brightness setting because it flickered though).

I am happy that our old microwave died so we had a chance to get this one. I love the look of it, especially the handle. It is quieter than most and very efficient ant warming food.

Confusing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] About a month ago or so we bought a whirlpool over the range microwave. It is very confusing trying how to figure our anything. We still haven't figured out the reheat, soft/melt and defrost modes. The cook mode we have figured out but the rest are confusing and the book that came with it is no help at all.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Get what you pay for

I bought this as a replacement to my OTR microwave. The microwave its self seems to work good cooking things faster and more evenly than before thanks to the turn table, and higher wattage. I don't have alot of space or high cabinets. This unit was bigger than my other unit. It was a good two inches taller, and two inches deeper than my previous unit. It kind of dominates the area over the stove. I also did not like the way that it installed the unit feels flimsy on the wall when you pull the handle to open the door. When it flexes it feels like you are pulling it off the wall, but you don't need anything really heavy either so... This unit was at the low price range, so it probably is a mater of you get what you pay for and a higher priced unit may be better, but then again maybe not?

Love the look of our new microwave and it does heat more evenly and quickly than our old one. The fingerprints on the stainless bother me, and they do need to be wiped constantly.

Quiet and powerful

The microwave is much quieter than any I've used before. It works extremely well and I've been microwaving things for less time than usual because it's so powerful. It's sleek looking and the fan and light are great. Easy to use.
