They tend to break a few days past the 18 months warranty coverage.
This particular model seems to be sturdier and better quality.
Design flaw exposes the charging connection to dirt and moisture accumulation. It would be much better [and cheaper?] to use a covered mini-USB port for charging.
Vibration and sound alerts are convenient for people with hearing or vision disabilities.
Pros: the battery last longer than many competitor's, affordable, replacement heads widely available, customizable with [included] stickers
Cons: breaks right after warranty, unnecessarily large

Excellent product for a child

My son has always hated brushing his teeth, I have gone through numerous manual, battery powered, rechargeable tooth brushes and tooth paste. I just bought him the Sonicare for kids and he now brushes his teeth without being asked. He loves the gentleness of the brushes and the timers help with the proper timing.
Pros: kid design stickers help personalize

BEST TOOTHBRUSH FOR MY GIRL!

We have fought so much with my child to where we have had to pin her down to brush with a manual toothbrush and even a battery operated toothbrush. I was told about the kids sonic care from dentist on one of her visits. This toothbrush has done wonders. She has stopped fighting, looks forward to the tickle when we brush her teeth, and has not had another cavity since we start using. I highly recommend this one. We all love it. THANK YOU!
