Cooling System about 20 degrees F

I felt my system was getting too hot because of an aging internal fan. I've been looking at Chill Mats, but almost all have been for smaller machines (17"). Mat is cooling system about 20 degrees F.
Pros: quiet, 20 degrees f cooler
Cons: a thickbit

Keeping it Cool

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Targus Laptop Chill Mat makes working on my laptop so easy and comfortable. Setup is as easy as 1 2 3, just put your laptop on the chill mat with the incline up and plug in the USB into your laptop and your done. It's dual fans keep your chipsets from being damaged and maintaining a the speed of your processor. It is very comfortable on your lap or great on my desk. I would definitely recommend it.

Right away, after plugging the targus lap chill mat into my laptop, it provided the cooling needed. i am an editor of a weekly newspaper and spend a great deal of time on my laptop--it's practically connected to me!
i've gone through two cooling mats in the past year--this one, so far, has delivered and met my expectations.
i would definitely recommend this product.
it was a little out of my price range but it seems to have been worth the money!
i'm happy with my purchase.

Pros: keep's loptop cool and your leg's 2

This product appeared fine until you notice that the wire coming out the back to attach to your USB port starts to fray since it has no support. This worked for about 9 months. I tried to tape it up to give it more support, but the point where the wire attaches can not be helped.
Cons: wire frays and unit stops working
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I like the look and feel of this cooling pad. It does a good job of cooling. It is relitively quiet. The sound it makes in not at all unpleasant or annoying. One con is that it does not turn off when I put my HP laptop into sleep mode. It did turn off when I put my Dell laptop into sleep mode. Finally, I really llike how the slant of it holds my laptop in a good position for typing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have had several lap top coolers.This product is the best I have used by far.The foam wrap around is very comfortable to have on your lap for extended periods.
The cooler is quiet and effective at keeping the laptop cool.. I use the cooler even when my laptop is on a desk.
The other laptop coolers I have are in the closet. I use this cooler everyday.
