Reliable printer

I purchased this printer for my personal business I started. I found it very easy to hook up the wireless connection. Prints great and fast.

The need for a new Printer

My Epson workforce 500 finally gave out, after (6) years. This new XP-310 truly meets all my expectations, it was an easy setup, is wifi & works with my laptop. I Recommend it to anyone who needs a small Printer that does it all will even print from a smart phone.

XP-310

I have an epson scanner I use for my negatives and needed something to start doing some small scale prints on at home. I didn't want a full darkroom yet and didn't want to rely on walmart all the time for printing. The printer itself is a cheap printer. Its not the top of the line printer from epson and it shows. It scans and copes fine. Black and white printing is fine. Some color printing on paper is acceptable. I needed this for printing on high grade photo paper, my expectations were not met. The printer made some strange patterns in the prints that I can't quite tell where they stem from. They look as if it is from color drop out during the printing. Immediately before and after the print I have done nozzle checks and they are full. I have done cleanings. Nothing fixed the problem. Epson sent a replacement which was fantastic of them, however the replacement printer performed the same.
I will keep the printer and use it every now and then until I can afford the stylus photo. Ultimately this is the printer for my needs and I was aware of this to begin with.
The XP-310 is a good printer for everyday HOME use

The Printer not the Ink

I would recommend this printer to anyone, but only for the quality of the actual print it delivers. The sad part is that the ink that this printer requires runs out of ink too fast and there is no other option except the little ink cartridges. I would suggest that the company come up with cartridges that can either be refilled and reused or ones that hold more ink. There is nothing more frustrating than to be able to only print maybe 10 copies of important forms when you actually need 25 or so.
