Worst printer EVER!

I have had this printer for bout 2 months, if that. I have had to purchase and replace all 4 ink cartridges 4 times already PLUS 2 more black on top of that AND I HAVE PRINTED BETWEEN 100-150 pages. The printer will absolutely refuse to print if you are out of one. And when you run to the store "quick" to get them you soon realize that EVERY store is out of stock and end up having to run 3 or 4 different places just to find some! I see now why they are so hard to keep in stock. I have by far surpassed the cost of a new printer in a matter of weeks. I will be buying a new printer on my next ink run, which appears to be today. I will certainly not be purchasing another EPSON. I am out of black ink already and low on 2 of the other colors. Speaking of which, I should mention, that I have only printed 10 or so pages IN COLOR.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Costs a fortune in printer cartridges

I purchased this printer because I needed something that was compatible with my Mac Pro. It was an inexpensive printer that seemed to have all of the features that I was looking for.
However, it seems as though every time I turn around, one of the printer cartridges needs to be replaced. It's incredibly annoying and is turning out to be an expensive printer just because of that.
I absolutely hate it.

I will never buy Epson again

The printer rarely works. Ink does not come out. Ink disappears. I have printed 10 papers and I'm on my third cartridge. it prints blank papers or smudged papers. I only gave one star because no stars wasn't an option. After nearly 15 years of buying Epson products, I will never ever buy an Epson product again.

Installation

I'm non-techy and installation was quite straight forward and I didn't even get frustrated.The only suggestion I would have is that the instructions SHOULD state that the packing material inside the printer needs to be removed before you start the installation process. We did happen to look inside before we started and removed it but I thought ... what if we hadn't checked. Not everyone would look if they are non techy.
I would recommend this to a friend!

So far so good

Having had numerous printers over the years, I know that ultimately, it will take more than a few weeks of ownership to make a complete assessment of a product, as only with time, will I come to know how durable, dependable, and cost effective that it is.
The initial set up was quick and thorough. The wifi, is easily accessed by all my network devices. The color appears to be true, and having had Epson products in the past, I am already familiar with the customization and adjustment procedures.
Printing is clear and at reasonable speed. Prints well on plain and photo papers. Scanning and copying are also easily performed with optimal quality for most any home application. All in all it has met all expectations for practical home use.
It will remain to be seen how cost effective the ink proves to be, and whether there are any problems with jets clogging, drying up or otherwise ceasing to operate after long periods of excessive use or periods of sitting idol.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Furiously not happy

Having looked at the positive reviews, I can only image the users haven't had their printer long. I've had the unit less than a year, and wasted an incredible amount of time and money on this piece of trash. The printer doesn't detect actual INK levels, just the amount it should've printed out, so if you have a clogged nozzle you're trying to clear, your cartridge detects as empty with a full tank. Since printer ink is apparently more precious than gold, this gets old FAST, especially when your nozzle checks and head cleaning uses up ink on every single ink not just the problem child. If you aren't printing frequently, you WILL get clogged nozzles. My inexpensive printer has been a painful learning experience. I'll be certain to pony up a few more dollars for a better brand. This entire exercise may, of course, be completely pointless since their terms of use basically say they can edit, and remove, any article submitted at will.

Very disappointing

I can see why the great reviews come from people who have not used the printer for long. At first I thought it was great too. Until the first time I had to change cartridges. Then, I had to re-run and re-run the utilities again and again to get the printer to print right, using a bunch of the newly installed ink in the process. Alas, time to change cartridges again - I've been at it 45 minutes, rerunning utilities, and still haven't gotten a quality printed page yet.
