A pleasant surprise

When I first bought this printer, I was a little nervous because its my first experience with a wireless printer. It has been shockingly easy to use! The setup was easy. The only problem I had with it was getting it to except my wireless password. Had to connect to the unsecured network to get it to work, but once I did that, it worked perfectly! So far, I am enjoying my experience with my first Epson printer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This replaces an earlier version of an Epson "small in one" that we had been using for a couple years.
It's very easy for us to use because everything about it is quite similar to the old one.
Even the courier remarked at how light & small it is.
Best improvement is that the ink cartridges are cheaper.

weak and frustrating

the ink printed wedding invitations in a medium gray and my old printer printed them in the dark black I wanted. Just updated the printer and it disabled other features that came with this printer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good Printer for price

The XP-310 All in One is a good printer and scanner for the price. Works well out of the box and is easy to setup for network printing without installing any drivers on the PC. Once setup the printer automatically was available as a printer on my Windows 7 laptop. So far I have no issues with the basic features. Two features that are missing though is the Scan to Cloud and Scanning to a PDF. Scan To Cloud isn't an option with the 310 series and the scan saves to a photo format instead of giving the option for a pdf.

Problems Right Out of the Box

This model is definitely a step down from my previous Epson printer, the CX5000, which I enjoyed using for several years. My XP-310 had an issue right out of the box: it was leaving small ink marks on the leading edge of every page it printed, from the very first page printed onward. The marks look evenly spaced, as if they line up with some parts of the paper feeding mechanism or other internal parts. I also noticed that it printed text less sharply than my older model. I contacted customer support, and Epson sent me a replacement. The replacement had the exact same issues, so I requested yet another replacement. The third one is exactly the same, and is also now making strange noises when loading paper from the feeder. I'm very disappointed, because I considered Epson inkjet printers a very good quality product and worth the price, and while this model is less than half the price I paid for the older model when I bought it (only because prices have come down on printers in general), I would pay twice as much if I could get the excellent quality of the older one in a new model.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This all in one is very easy to install and understand. The fact that it has wi-fi capabilities is a plus. I love the price as well, very reasonable. Highly recommend this to my family and friends. Has everything you need to get all your projects complete.
