The only complaint is that the ink cartridges run out rather quickly.

not for card stock

Most of my printing is on cardstock. At first this machine printed fine, but now it will not print on my cardstock. Epson tells me to use their cardstock, but it is too thin for the cards I make. At this point, the machine is virtually useless to me when the paper just grinds rather than print. I have not had that problem with other printers.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Overall I am well pleased so far. The easy start-up sheet was a little confusing for me when it went from using the CD to not using the CD. I think two separate columns, one for laptops with CD drive, and one for those without, would have been less confusing. I will say once I went to the website and clicked download, all I had to do was follow the prompts on my screen. Having a manual to reference is nice. Installing the ink cartridges was a snap. And the print quality is certainly all I'll need for home printing every now and then. Including the ink cartridges is a very nice touch, also. All in all, I am pleased with my purchase.

I Like It A Lot

This printer offers the ability to use other ink mixed when you run out of the Black. In fact you could skip buying the black ink all together. I have also tried other non Epson ink in the XP-310. It will function but it has it's limits and is not as good as Epson Ink that was designed Specially for the XP-310. The generic ink will work if you can not afford to purchase the Epson 200 or the Epson 200XL. I recommend using the Epson Brand In unless it is just not available for use. I like this printer all in 1. So far so good.

CANNOT RECOMMEND OR RATE THE PRINTER YET, NEED TIME. LOVE THE WIRELESS. GOOD COLOR. EXPENSIVE INK, REALLY. HOW MUCH AN OUNCE IS THIS INK? WHAT IS UP WITH THAT. LIKE THE PRINTER. HATE THE PRICE OF INK. I WILL TRY TO REFILL, BUT IF I CANNOT. THIS PRINTER GOES TO THE RETURN CENTER OR JUNK PILE. HOPE I CAN REFILL IT. WHATS UP WITH THE XL AND REGULAR CARTRIDGE, SAME SIZE OUTSIDE. WHY? OH $$$$$ KEN
