The printer worked well for a short time, approximately 4-5 weeks, then it quit printing. I can copy, but it does not print. I have not tried to scan. I have changed out the print cartridges, but still no printing. i have deleted and reloaded software, downloaded drivers from on-line Epson websites and i still do not have a printer function.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So far I love it! Very easy to set up and worked like a charm from the start. I just hope the ink lasts a little longer than my previous printers.

My recently purchased Epson Expression Home XP-310 (I didn't know it was an expression home until I registered, inasmuch as the printer itself only reflects Epson XP-310 on the front of it), in any case it seems to be working great. When trying to print sometimes I get an "off-line" message, which of course prevents me from being able to print, and the only thing I know to do that seems to correct this is re-download my Epson CD that came with the printer. I don't know if I am doing something in error that causes the printer to go "off-line" or if there is a more convenient way to re-boot (for the lack of a better term) to get it back "on-line" rather then having to pull out the CD and go through all that again. ???? Perhaps someone can tell me.
Outside of that the printer seems to do just what it is suppose to do. I've had no problems with paper jams, cartridge changes, or anything else. The unit is small and compact which is nice and I scanned a document for the first time and it was very easy. The built in Wi-Fi I have not explored that capability yet. I'm currently attached to my laptop via cable but should make the switch. Base on all this ... you decide, but I wouldn't have any problem recommending this particular printer for home usage at all. So, best of luck in your decision when purchasing your next printer.

I have noticed that if I go without printing something every few days I have to clean the printer heads, which wastes a lot of ink. Even then, there are areas that do not print well. I liked my old printer, but do not like my new one. I will never buy another Epson printer!
