Short but sweet

I just got my new XP 310 set up so I haven't used it yet. I'm writing because it was so easy to set up. I just went through days trying to set up a similar printer from another brand and finally gave up in disgust--it simply wouldn't set up. I returned it and got the XP 310 instead and am I glad! Hope actually using it doesn't change my opinion.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This compact printer does everything I need a printer to do and the cost is in my range. I take a lot of photos which I copy as soon as I take them and also print many free knitting patterns and recipes. Know I will enjoy using this new printer. I am elderly and need "simple" instructions.
I would recommend this to a friend!

XP310 printer

Print quality is good. I struggled getting the Wifi conection to my desk top. Called Epson support. Charles (ref 130717-002922) told me the desk top may be too old, to check with the computer manufacturer. Instead I plugged in my Belkin USB network card to a USB port in the front of my desktop. Printer hooked up with ease. Thanks Charles!

Not as easy as the instruction sheet showed

I have the Windows XP and the instructions stated that the disc would run if I used the autoplay window. There is no such window on my computer. I had to play around with the control panel icons until I finally came across a logical route for running the disc. This took me about half an hour to do. Then the down load of the disc took 3 tries before my computer accepted the startup. Maybe there needs to be a little detail in the manual for those of us who have the older windows.

SET UP WITH THIS PRINTER WAS A BREEZE, EVEN WHEN EPSON RECOMMEND USING A USB CABLE FOR INITIAL SET UP. I DID NOT HAVE ONE AND IT WAS STILL VERY EASY TO SET UP WIRELESSLY. GREAT PRINT QUALITY AND ITS NICE TO ONLY HAVE TO REPLACE THE CARTRIDE COLOR THAT YOU NEED AT THAT TIME.
