Excellent home printer

I bought this printer for home use, mainly for school. It is great quality, easy to set up, and has Wi-Fi capability so you can print wirelessly from a laptop.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is a great bang for your buck, however, connection is not for the faint at heart - you must follow the directions in detail, even then, I did not find it particularly user friendly. I connected my PC but I've yet to find the patience to connect my ipad. Once connected, it is worth every penny.

I gave 1 star caz i can't give less. Nightmare, small cartridges and can't print B&W if some of the colour run out.

Good Product

I am writing this review 5 months after purchase so I could really check it out. Good news!....after that time, everything Epson promised with this all-in-one is true. I am very happy with the set-up, and the performance. The print quality is excellent, the scanner works fine, and the purchase price was great. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star is because I'm a tough rater, and want to see about it's longevity.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It Worked For Me!

I have a very long history of not being friends with printers. If I get near one it starts flashing an error message. Over the years I have learned to avoid printers at all costs. But circumstances conspired against me & I was required to purchase a printer for home. The positive reviews I saw for the Epson XP-310 did little to ease my fears, especially since I'm using an old Windows XP Home edition computer. I was certain there was a boobytrap somewhere waiting for me.
After carefully following the instructions to "remove packing material," I turned on the printer only to have it buzz horribly at me and flash an Error message. "Here we go again" I thought. Turns out I failed to remove the packing material from inside the printer where the ink cartridges go. Once I solved that little issue I proceeded to set up the unit. Slowly & methodically I followed the instructions. Much to my elation, the darn thing worked perfectly!
I printed a test page flawlessly! I copied some medical records without any problem. I printed a picture and I scanned the picture back into the computer as a pdf file! I had my Epson XP-310 singing & dancing!
I could not be happier and would enthusiastically recommend the Epson XP-310 to every techno-klutz like me.
It would be nice if it came with a USB cable. Beware! The kind it needs is flat on the end that plugs into your computer & square on the end that plugs into the printer.
Someday I hope to see if I can get it to print wirelessly from my wife's iPad.

Seems like a pretty good printer so far. Set-up was simple and only took about 10 min. or so. Prints very clear and crisp, copies look great. Scanning seems to be a bit slow, but other that that, I really like it.
I would recommend this to a friend!
