Failed to function after set up

The printer will not print, even after several print test page attempts, and re-installing ink cartridges.

I bought this Epson XP 310 printer for my home use. After the setup and ink cartridge installation I was surprised to see that most of the was gone. But trying to be optimistic I thought maybe it just took that much to prime it and bought 4 more cartridge's of the grossly overpriced ink and installed them. I printed 2 picture's and maybe 10 to 15 documents and it seemed like it might be ok. the photo quality was excellent. So I kept the printer. However I don't often use a printer and when I went to use it again it now is showing that the ink is low again. Except for the black, which doesn't appear to be working at all. After hours of trying to print a simple form that kept coming out unreadable, I found there were some driver and firmware updates for the printer. So I have spent the last 3.5 hours downloading and installing them in hopes they would help. But so far I'm not having any luck. So looks like I'm stuck with a printer that can print beautiful color photos if I had a need for that and could spend hundreds of dollars on ink. But wont print a simple document. And also I feel sure that whatever I do try to print goes directly to the internet. So if You want a printer that doesn't print I suggest buying the Epson XP 310.

I have found for the most part printers and windows do not talk. This printer was working fine then all of a sudden it will not print what what I see on the page???????????????? Puts spaces leaves out half etc.
I have win 8 upgraded to 8.1 IT worked fine then ???????????

Don" understand directions

I love it, buy new ink, install ink and print, BLANK Pages, works perfect like a ghost, perfect paper holder or paper weight, best money i ever wasted

I am having so much trouble with this printer! sometimes I can print but most times I cannot. When I do print I have no idea if it is something I did because I do the same thing each time. Don't like this printer at all. I will try to reach out (again) to support. More than likely will trash this printer for another brand

I have had to trash this printer. It uses ink like a old gas guesser. The paper feed works on 1of10 feeds and each time you need to stop and restart the printer. If you use thick paper forget it.
I have had some bad printers but this is the worst.
