no battery life

this is a sad unit. the batteries lasted 6 months. did get a replacement for B&D but was same issue

Best hand vac

I have had my flex vac for many years, having purchased the 2nd one in 2014 for one of my kids to take to college. Both are still in use. I use it to pick up dust & crumbs, small stones and seeds, pet hair and feathers. I find it to be the most versatile and efficient hand vac I've ever owned. The battery lasts long enough for me to cover the baseboards for approx. 1100 square feet before slowing down. We had a power surge & I noticed the plug looks damaged, so sadly I find myself shopping for a new vac. Hopefully the new one will be as productive as the original! I have made it a habit to clean the filter after each use, and have replaced it a couple times when it gets old and grey. My college grad still uses it for quick tidying up in an apartment, and my brother got one and is very happy with the results as well.
I would recommend this to a friend!

No replacement batteries

I liked the power and weight of this vaccum. Was quite happy with it until the battery dies in after a few months (3-6). Did a little bit of research online and it seems like the charger doesn't switch off after batteries are full thus shortening battery longevity if plug in constantly. Bad design #1
Making things worse replacement batteries are not available so when the battery dies you have to repalce the entire vaccum. This is ridicously and so wasteful. No wonder our landfills are full. Really bad design #2.
For this reason I recommend staying away from this model

Best portable vacuum ever made

I have this vacuum and it’s worked great sunce new about 12 or more years ago. But now it doesn’t hold a charge very long and im extremely disappointed to learn that they don’t make this model any more. i’ve taken it apart to see if the rechargable batteries can be replaced. No other portable on the market has this awesome hose extension that allows reaching into and under tight spots you cant come close to reaching with the ones now that don’t have this hose. I’m really bummed.

Battery was strong for about a year, then went down hill. Now a charge lasts about 1 to 2 minutes.

Zero Battery Life After a Year

I anticipated a great cordless vacuum for dog hairs and sand but the battery charge, which was initially good, now holds for about three minutes per charge.

Battery life sucks - waste of money.

I bought this for use around the house. It lasts about 3 minutes then the battery dies. Battery sucks so the vacuum doesn't.

Terrible Battery Life

A fully charged battery only lasts a few minutes. Had purchased B&D products in the past with same problem. Thought I would give them another chance. What a mistake. No more B&D products for me.
