Great Lightweight Travel Sewing Machine

I am a longtime quilter and have a lot of machines of all brands. This is my favorite travel machine. I take it to workshops, guild meetings and other occasions to sew with groups. I use it for straight stitch piecing only. I use much heavier duty machines for my actual quilting, binding, or when my piecing gets larger. This is the perfect quilting companion second or third machine. It also is easy to operate and has features that are on a lot of my other more expensive machines. It is also easy to teach with - It would make a good beginner machine as well.

This is the first machine I have purchased. It was very easy to set up and to use.I haven't tried all the features yet, but so far so good.

I love this sewing machine. It's lightweight and easy to take along to sewing parties. It makes the prettiest stitches. Very easy to set up and I love that it can thread the needle. Perfect for quilting. Lots of features I haven't used yet.

Great machine for the price and my needs

This machine was recommended by a friend. It is a stand by for my 55 yr old Singer. I find I use this Brother more than my OLD machine. It is so easy to thread and change stitches. Since it is so light weight it is easy for me to take to another room. I have used a few of the decorative stitches, they really dress up a simple project. I made the right choice when I purchased my new CS6000i and can't beat the price.

I researched for a long time before purchasing my first sewing machine. This is the machine that won. I absolutely love my CS-6000i. Now that I am sewing, I've joined quite a few sewing groups and have seen this machine as one of the top recommended machines out there. Everyone has been happy with it.
It has done everything I've asked it to do with no hesitation, going through up to 6 layers of flannel and 8 layers of fleece with no issues whatsoever. It comes with extra feet, including a walking foot, and stitches beautifully. I highly recommend this machine whenever anyone asks for advice.

This is my first sewing machine and I'm in love with it! It's super easy to use and I've hemmed almost all my jeans with it. If you're a beginner at sewing, don't worry, you'll learn how to use this in a few minutes!!

Excellent quality for the price

I purchased my machine about a month ago and have completed several home decor projects. I really like the drop in bobbin and threading process -- very easy. I also like the speed stitch adjustments. The only slight issue is the foot adjustment is a little low for thicker, layered fabrics. Overall the Brother CS6000i is a wonderful value for the money. It comes with several different attachments that are not usually included. Whether you have been sewing for years or just getting started -- this is a great purchase. I shopped and tracked reviews on several machines before making this purchase -- I am very pleased with the CS6000i!
