Best Sewing Machine!

Bought this sewing machine about eight years ago and never had one problem with it. It is so easy to use, it was perfect for a somewhat beginning sewer. The needle threader is my favorite part and the bobbin winder produces perfect wound bobbins every time. It's portability is also great for transporting to sewing classes. I've learned a lot on this machine. I just upgraded to the XR9550 because I wanted more stitches, but my CS6000i is still in perfect working condition even after all these years! Strongly suggest this affordable option for beginners or anyone who loves to sew!

Beats the Singer machine I had by leaps and bounds

I am not a beginner sewer, but no professional at all. I am a total amateur who just enjoys sewing things for myself, family, and home. I am very content with this sewing machine. It is very lightweight and portable, yet can handle heavyweight and thick materials. My recommendations to Brother--> Perhaps slightly more weight for the machine would be desirable and metal legs for the expanded table instead of plastic. I really love how easy the machine is to thread and being able to just pop in the bobbin versus having to pull the bobbin thread up through the other side. Now I can keep replacing the bobbin thread while I am working without having to remove my material to do it and starting over. I really like the LCD screen too. It tells me everything I need to know so that I have the correct adjustments and presser foot installed for any thread style. All I have to think about is making sure that I am using the right needle. This machine makes sewing a breeze!

Great little machine for the money!

I've been using it for 3 months and am extremely pleased so far. It's straightforward to use and great for both the novice and intermediate user. It's lightweight and easily portable. So far so very good!

Great Machine for a Beginner

I'm a beginner at the age 60. This machine has all the features and stitches that I will ever need. The accessories that come with the machine make sewing so easy and definitely helps with the learning process. The instruction manual has all the information necessary to answer any question. Also, there are You Tube videos you can access through Brother that will give you the visual answer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Best machine I own

The reason I bought this machine was for the speed control, because I broke my sewing foot and even after it has healed I still have issues controlling my speed with the foot pedal. I love being able to set the speed I want to go and step on the pedal without fear of going too fast and making a mistake.
The machine sews wonderfully and gives me so many stitch choices that I am truly in love with how I can add that little bit extra to my projects.
After I bought this machine my Mom bought one as well. She has neuropathy in her feet and this machine lets her sew again which is a blessing. Thank you Brother for giving us an affordable machine that doesn't feel cheap and has features you might find in machines at higher price point.

Best Student Machine

I purchase my machine and now this is the only machine I like to teach my students on. Mainly due to the ease of use and the ability to control the speed, which is what I find the biggest learning curve for my sewing students. Once this is back in stock Im purchasing 8 of them, one for each student station.
