Great beginner machine

This machine was super easy to set up...I was able to get started sewing in about a half hour and I am truly a numbskull about sewing machines. It also has plenty of functionality. I think I will be able to use it for many years.

I have only used the machine once or twice since I got it over 8 months ago. I have not used it enough to feel comfortable with it since some of the frequent motions one makes while sewing are different than on my previous sewing machine.
I would recommend this to a friend!

A great sewing machine! Purchased it about a month ago and have been sewing non-stop! I hadn’t seen much in years partly due to constant issues with my old machine, now I just can’t get enough! Great features like 3 speeds, drop-in bobbin and ease of threading upper thread put the joy back into sewing for me!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I wanted a sewing machine for simple sewing. I got more with my Brother CS6000i! I've been more creative with the different stiches that it can do and the instruction are so easy to follow.

Good Starter Machine

This is an excellent starter machine particularly for the novice. It's 60 different stitches provide plenty for the beginning or intermediate seamstress. Mechanically, this machine has a very beautiful stitch whether using the straight stitch or one the 60 included stitches. The instructional guide is pretty easy to follow, and the online videos provided by Brother are excellent learning tools for this user friendly sewing machine. I love the automatic buttons provided right on the front of this attractive machine. It is my first machine that automatically lowers the needle; where ever has this feature been!??!! The only downside to this little jewel is its inability to handle thick layers of fabric such as 3-4 layers of duck fabric. It nevertheless, is a great investment for the average seamstress who does mostly fashion sewing and small crafts. If I were a beginner seamstress, I would think it is the jewel of sewing machines. However, as and advanced seamstress of some 55 plus years, it works as a second machine in my house. I, nevertheless, think this machine is a pretty good dollar value.

I purchased this machine to use while traveling. It has all the bells and whistles I need for quilting and plus, it's a lightweight machine. Love it.
