MY FIRST MACHINE/MY LAST MACHINE !!

This sewing machine is my first. I am a newbie sewer. The machine was not intimidating, easy to use, and has more features than I know what to do with!! It is light weight, yet sturdy. Love working with the finger touch buttons instead of using the available foot pedal. All of my beginner sewing projects have turned out beautifully. Highly recommend this machine.

Finally decided to buy a sewing machine and after looking at many different brands I kept coming back to the Brother CS6000i due to the great reviews and affordability. Its been very easy to set up and have made a couple zipper pouches. I can't wait to delve further into the world of sewing and learn more of what this machine can do. So far its been great.

This is a quiet and smooth running machine. My first to have the needle up/down button - love it! Also my first to have multiple speeds. But, the fastest speed is still a little too fast for me. The needle threader doesn't work, and is a waste. it gets in my way since I'm a lefty. I am still trying to figure out how to remove it. Overall though, I love this machine. It was a great value for the money I paid.

I have no complaints about the machine. Although I am a creative, practical and determined person, my past experiences with sewing were all negative. Sewing is a complicated process, no matter what machine you use. However, this machine is easier to use than the monsters I had in the past. Those other machines made me give up in frustration because there were always problems with the thread tension, and expensive trips to the sewing machine doctor. It was just too expensive to sew. However, this machine is affordable, and does everything I need to to do. I am not saying it is fool-proof. You have to have the basic sense and patience to read and follow directions. I have made some mistakes in my little projects, but that's how you learn. Overall, I love this machine!

I purchased because my old machine died. This is a very light weight machine and easily portable. I never figured out the self threading device and gave up on it. Love the bobbin feature. Cover is nice but not a great fit. Sews nice. Good for a machine you want to move around.

Great Light weigh machine

I recently purchased this machine. I have been using my grandmothers machine for over,well many years. Fearing that it may not work much longer, I purchased this Brothers machine. Also fearing that a computerized machine would really be hard for me to learn to work, I went ahead and bought it anyhow. Much to my surprise, it is so simple to work. Some of the features really surprised me. Just a push of a button and it does certain things and it was not that complicated to learn. This machine also does many other things that I haven't had a chance to try yet. But if the other features are as simple to learn as what I have already learned, it will be great.
