Best present ever!

My other machine is over 30 years old. My sister purchased this for me as a present. I can't wait to get started with this new machine. Sewing projects, here I come.

Love my Brother

The CS6000I is lightweight but powerful. I was using an old Kenmore that was heavy and temperamental. This new machine is a breeze to operate after you familiarize yourself with all the features. I love the self threader, which was the one feature that sold me on this model. The varIable speed is also very handy. I haven't tackled any major projects yet but it made short work of a huge pile of mending I had to do. I haven't used many stitches yet but I love the possibilities. I do wish there was a storage box for the accessories instead of just a pouch in the base of the machine. I bought a little storage container to keep them handy.

Beginner Friendly, and SEW easy to use!!

I'm a self-taught beginner, and within the hour I took it out the box, I was properly set-up and started making shirts out the wazoo!! I had shopped around for the best sewing machine for the beginner sewer but something that would be able to grow and adapt as became more advance- this was the best one.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this machine CS6000i January 27. I had problem with the needle wouldn't fit into the needle bar. It did it twice with me Finally, the little threader guide broken. Where can I order part for my machine?

Simply amazing machine!

I have been using this machine for 5 or more years now and could not be happier. My favorite thing is that I don't need to use the foot paddle. I had a dog who loved to push the foot paddle and a 1 year old niece, (at the time), who would mess with the cord to the paddle and nearly knock the machine off the table. So this feature has made my life a lot easier! This machine sews better than any machine I have ever owned. It is very easy to set the tension, drop in the bobbin and thread it. I just wish I could figure out how to use the self threader on it. I don't know if something is wrong with it or what, but I have only been able to get it to work once. That's the only negative I have about the machine. One more thing, Brother support is amazing! I thought my machine was broken until I called support and was told what the problem was and how to fix it.

A first I was thrilled with this very light wt machine. I used it for my traveling machine (going to class or a friends house to sew) but the tension was never quite right and now there is no tension and I am unable to use it, and the machine is less than 6 mo old
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good machine

I have not used a sewing machine for over 30 years. I decided to find a simple machine that would be easy to thread, require NO foot pedal to work and just be easy to learn and use. This machine fits the bill. I have just started using the machine and have created a padded headboard with it. More projects are coming in 2018. The only issue with this machine is the case. It is just too big for the machine. I was expecting it to fit the machine snugly.
